Rose Tea

Words are like the weather
They can be cozy as cashmere
Bundled up
The heat from the fire
Melts the mountain chill

Boots packed with ice crunch and squeak
Steam wets my upper lip and
dews my nose as I breathe
into my bone china teacup
with my favorite rose tea-
Swirling a tea bag is the
perfect repetitive movement
For a fiddler like me

But words, like the weather,
Can be treacherous too
A monsoon in the desert evening
Winds howling, walls heaving
Against a high-pitched squall
That yearns to pull the
earth from its roots

Thunder bellows
Lightning dazzles the night sky
Unless, of course,
You happen to be the thing
In between
the lightning and the ground

A scorned ego has no friends
only foes
So vengeful a god
who scolds at random
As the sky cannot bear fury
a second longer
Electricity rips the atmosphere
And tonight, anyone
could die by lightning strike

The End of "Others"

I love Republicans;
and I love Democrats.
I love Police;
and I love Prisoners.

I love Men;
and I love Women.
I love My Higher Self;
and I love My Shadow.

I love protectors,
and I love instigators
I love the bold,
and I love the shy
I love the abusers,
and I love the abused

There are no "others"
to be against or
to be fearful of

Lay down your weapons,
the fight is over
because there was
never one to begin with

Epiphanies Part II

The Architecture of the New Self

It is much easier to start tidying up than to continue wallowing in your mess. A cluttered space taints the ability to interact with your environment effectively- whether that be relaxing or creating. Your home is a living, breathing ecosystem. Take care of it like you would a child.

If you feel stuck in the aftermath of trauma because your reality has become static, apply the Rule of Inversion: do the exact 180-degree opposite of your current pattern. If you have been guarding the experience as a secret, find the courage to speak or write it publicly. If you have been narrating the trauma incessantly to anyone who will listen, commit to total silence on the subject for a time. Step out of the familiar cycle and see if the weight of it doesn’t simply begin to evaporate once you stop feeding it the same energy.

You are exactly as God created you. Nothing you've done or that has been done to you can change that. Take comfort in this. Likewise, your enemy is exactly as God created him. Make peace with this. As you are lifted up, you lift up everyone else. This is the law of collective elevation: Because we are all interconnected, your spiritual growth naturally elevates all peoples. Your true essence is immutable; it cannot be tarnished by earthly experiences or actions.

The best advice is what not to do.

Money cannot be wasted. It can only be circulated because it is an energy. Refusing to invest in your life to avoid "wasting money" is as absurd as refusing to eat to save food. In both cases you starve while the fuel sits stagnant.

No matter what happens, you'll always be okay. If the education system doesn't reform- you'll be okay. If the economy collapses- you'll be okay. Nothing in the physical world can touch your peace. Your peace is not dependent upon your circumstance.

When you give all your attention to the past, reflecting on better days or resenting the worse ones, you miss the eternal present. The present moment has the power to rewrite past and future.

The same mindset that invented the quality of "waste," also invented the concept of "scarcity." There is no such thing as waste. And there is only abundance. Stop trying to fight a fabricated battle; it is blinding you from what's truly real.

If you need to stay at an AirBNB long term, ask the owner if you can pay him personally at a discounted rate. It's a win-win: you get a cheaper rate, and the owner gets to pocket all the money without AirBNB taking a cut.

To move past a trauma, you must accept it first. This sounds obvious, but the most simple things are the best answers, albeit not the easiest.

Human brains love to overcomplicate and unnecessarily separate and categorize things. Everything is interrelated. All illness, or dis-ease, is caused by the mind.

I am finally prioritizing my own financial stability and future growth because I saw what happens when a family ignores those responsibilities.

To decide if something is the right career path, ask yourself: "Do I like this for me? Or would I like doing this for others too?" For example, I love reading my own horoscope, but the thought of writing content for every other zodiac sign is extremely unappealing. Therefore, Zodiac Content Creator is not the right choice for me. In the modern world, it seems as if creativity is flourishing and everyone is making money doing everything. Don't let the noise get to you. Figure out what you would genuinely enjoy helping other people achieve. Showing houses and finding the perfect buyer or the dream home for someone else really excites me. That's how I know Real Estate is a great career for me.

When I stopped accepting low quality treatment, better options started appearing instantly. My body was able to get a good nights rest for the first time in years. This is your sign to break the chain and show up for yourself. Be the person who aligns with your best interest- even if you think you're not there yet. Because whoever you long to be, you already are and always have been.

The people who actually have their sh*t together are the nicest people on the planet. They know how hard going after a dream is. The people who ridicule you are the same people too scared to go after their goals with vulnerability and authenticity. Don't take it to heart; and more importantly, pay it no mind.

You need to return to the thing that you love but haven't been doing. No matter how long it's been, how far you've fallen, or how rusty you might be, it won't hold anything against you. It's waiting to welcome you back.

How you make people feel when you do the things that make you feel most alive is your life's purpose.

If you have to ask for it, it loses its value. Whether it's love, loyalty, or support.

The difficulties you're going through right now are preparing you for what you want in the future.

If you're not sure whether what you're listening to is AI or not, listen for the breath. If you don't hear a pause for breath or the breathiness of certain syllables that phonetically end in [-heh, -th, -hah], it's AI.

All short term, I-get-rich companies are dying off. Long term, everyone-gets-rich companies are taking their place.

People need loving most when they deserve it the least.

Do Nothing and Everything Gets Done

The current financial system is a mess. It is built on a foundation designed for an era of physical ledgers and slow communication, but we are trying to run a high-speed, digital world on top of it.

Most people assume money is created by the government. In reality, the vast majority of our "money" is created by private banks when they issue loans (Fractional Reserve Banking). Since every dollar is born with an attached interest obligation, there is technically never enough money in existence to pay back all the debt plus the interest.

Ever notice how economics is always, "Grow or go, go, go?" It's because this booby trapped debt system forces a perpetual growth mandate. If the economy doesn't grow fast enough to cover the interest, the system collapses.

It's like hiring a bunch of people to give out parking tickets. It costs more to employ the parking patrol than the city has budget for. So in turn, they ticket any and every questionably parked vehicle. The residents basically pay for an unnecessary service they don't want.

Good thing Long Beach would never do this! .... oh wait-

In other words, the city "needs" the money brought in from parking tickets to pay the ticket writers. Just like the banks need us to go into debt to pay the interest on money they've loaned that they didn't have to begin with.

And neither service actually improves the lives of us, the common people.

This begs the question,

Why do we even perpetuate this human-made, erroneous system that isn't working for 99% of the people? And this is not an exaggeration, this system doesn't work for literally 99% of us.

We are obsessed with survival. We research wild animals in awe of their rhymes and rhythms.

We don't beat our hearts, or grow our hair, or digest our food.

We don't breathe air, air breathes us. Our CO2 is necessary for the plant's to eat, just like their oxygen is necessary for us to breathe.

Man couldn't design a more perfect system if he tried.

We were perfectly designed to inhabit a system that functions best when we stop interfering with it.

Nature is the ultimate proof of the "Do Nothing" principle. A forest doesn't have a central bank, a 401k, or a department of urban planning, yet it is the most efficient, productive, and wealthy system on the planet.

The tree follows the sun; the soil provides plants nutrients as a byproduct of its own existence.

The rain doesn't charge for delivery. And it doesn't create a poisonous chemical plastic to bottle itself up in for convenience.

Everything gets done because every element in the system is simply being what it is. In nature, survival is the default state, not the goal. It is only in our human-made financial systems that we’ve made survival a subscription service we can’t afford.

This is why I love the saying, "Do nothing and everything gets done." This is based on the principle of Wu-Wei, which is the art of non-interference.

Wu-Wei is similar to symbiosis, which is the idea of two separate parts coming together for mutual benefit. However, our implementation of symbiosis failed because human ego entered the equation. We treated the Earth like a business partner we could cheat, exploiting nature as if it were a resource rather than our own flesh and blood.

Wu-Wei recognizes that we and the environment are not separate. We are one thing moving together. It's an identity of being in the flow with the flow- a fractal of a macrocosm as a microcosm. There is a universal order that always works out; we just fight it inadvertently by trying to impose our own broken and selfish logic on top of it. Instead of fighting against, we should just respond to and gently correct anything that's out of harmony.

Just look at nature, it is so abundant! Not one thing screams, "Ooh there's not enough of this for you and me to both have it, so I'll buy all of it, and rent it to you for a price."
