Life is like a Fridge
You must discard the expired food to be able to bring new groceries in.
You may say, "I don't want to do that, just thinking about it bores me." So you procrastinate cleaning it out, and rationalize by buying non-perishables, food that isn't the best for you, food that you can put in your cupboard.
You're already on a trajectory towards an unhealthier life, but now you're getting bored. Your fridge is still full, it's taking up space in your mind and stressing you out when you think about it. To avoid thinking about it, you ask the universe to give you something exciting to do.
The universe brought you something you once absolutely loved to do; however. by now you are too unwell to embrace it. All because you didn't take the time to clear your fridge of the perished food.
You went shopping, filling your cart with healthy groceries to nourish yourself. But alas, you cannot refrigerate them, so you could only fill yourself up with a single serving of good food.
You tried to nourish yourself, but there was no space for the good to take root. And so, once again, you feel sick. Not because you didn’t try—but because you never made room for new things.
In other words, you must dispel and leave behind any habits that are not serving you. Even the ones that seem like they're harmless for now. Especially the ones that seem too insignificant to change; you could get stuck somewhere that's bad, but not painful enough to change.
If you ever catch yourself thinking, "it's not doing me any harm yet," followed by a "I'm going to have to do something about that one day," that bad feeling, that's your higher self giving you a sign to change something,
Do something now. Your brain forms new neural pathways (critical higher-thinking connections) every time you do something that you don't want to.
The second you clear out the things that no longer serve you, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
